2009) with a special emphasis on "Emerging Technology - Challenges &
Opportunities" is scheduled for April 25, 2009 at the Pearl-Continental Hotel,
Lahore. The conference is officially endorsed by the Pakistan Telecommunication
Authority (PTA), with Chairman, Dr. Muhammad Yaseen, kindly consenting to
deliver the Keynote Address.
Industry specialists and speakers from government and private sectors will
highlight strategies for regulatory framework, business-friendly environment,
technology developments and consumer expectations, through presentations &
technical papers. The scope for an enhancement in Foreign Direct Investments
during this period of economic challenges will also be critically examined. The
conference is going to focus on the introduction of emerging technologies like
3-G and other modern infrastructures for sourcing Rural Area Connectivity,
Broadband and Wireless Access, Connectivity & Mobility and Safety & Security
issues. Hence, the AGENDA will comprise of 3 sessions with focus on Corporate
